We have come a long way as teachers since those purple_ink mimeograph machines introduced us to worksheets, so let's be vigilant! Avoid lower_level_thinking worksheets, do not use too many worksheets (even good ones) and NEVER use worksheets as busy work. Instead, let's fill our classrooms with meaningful, thoughtful lessons and activities that peak student interest and promote higher_level learning. And that is a message worth copying and handing out!
Budgeting Worksheet Tip #3: Your Personal Cash Flow Analysis A fully functional budgeting worksheet should calculate your monthly cash flow analysis so that you can determine if you are overspending based on your income on a monthly basis. In order to determine your cash flow for the month, you will need to provide your monthly income information. A good worksheet should do all the math for you, generate a meaningful chart or two so that you can quickly see the areas in your budget that need to be improved upon. If you are over spending, you will need to adjust. If you are under spending, start saving towards your goals!
Math worksheets are not accessible _ Some students are unable to access tools that many of us take for granted when they try to complete worksheets. They may be unable to grasp pencils, control their movements within the limited spaces provided on the sheet, or be able to simply stabilize their paper while writing. Other students, including those for whom English is not their primary language or who struggle with reading, have difficulty reading the directions, words, and math terminology on the worksheets. Still other students require different visual representations or methods of engagement in order acquire an understanding the content. Most math worksheets do not provide information in multiple formats so they are inaccessible to students with a wide variety of learning styles and abilities.
Benefitμ _ Specially_designed age appropriate graded level worksheets give kids the opportunity to reinforce the application of knowledge they gained in their classrooms.
