How many Worksheets can I Create within one Workbook? _ Prior to the release of Excel 2007 users could only create 255 within one workbook. However, since the release of Excel 2007 users can now create as many worksheets within one workbook as the memory of the computer can handle. Even if the user does not have access to one of the newest versions of Excel such as Excel 2007 or Excel 2010, they can still make as many worksheets as they would like, but earlier versions of Excel will require more workbooks.
What is an Excel Worksheet? _ An Excel worksheet is electronic ledger created by the spreadsheet application Microsoft Excel. Worksheets are used to allow their users to store edit and manipulate data within rows and columns divided into cells. Worksheets also allow users to create easy to create calculations and logical functions to perform specific functions for each specific worksheet. Worksheets allow users many unique and common ways to sort and filter endless amounts of data. This data can be import and export to and from various resources.
Then along came digital copiers and the purple_ink mimeograph machine disappeared. But the teaching tool that the mimeograph machine spawned _ the worksheet _ has lived on... and on... and on. For decades _ literally decades _ teachers have been enamored with worksheets. So what is the bottom line? Are worksheets a serious teaching tool or an over_used form of busy work? The answer, of course, is both.
